We seeking a dynamic and motivated registered nurse with a passion for

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily patient ward rounds to assess and monitor infection prevention practices.
  • Provide proactive IPC advice to healthcare staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Engage in problem-solving and contribute to the development of effective infection control strategies.
  • Undertake audits and infection surveillance to track and analyse infection trends.
  • Manage outbreak situations effectively, ensuring prompt and appropriate responses.
  • Deliver training and educational sessions to enhance the knowledge and skills of staff regarding infection prevention.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to build effective relationships and promote best practices in IPC.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, managing day-to-day clinical responsibilities while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Travel to various trust premises as required, ensuring timely and efficient movement across sites.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and support the growth of colleagues within the team.

  • Be prepared to work towards degree level education/ modules in infection prevention and control (E)
