Corporate Finance Manager
Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic finance professional who displays great attention to detail to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands on experience of budget setting, business partnering and financial management and reporting for the corporate pay and non pay budgets for the ICB.The person will need to be able to communicate with all levels within the organisation and further develop time management and organisational skills. You will also be required to support the Senior Finance Manager to deliver the corporate financial management team through month end processes and also the year end process and submission of the ICB’s accounts.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead a small Financial Management Team to support the Senior Finance Manger to provide an exemplary financial management function for Corporate reporting, ensuring there is good engagement with budget holders and stakeholders where required.The post holder will play a critical role in ensuring that the ICB achieves its financial targets and achieves value for money in its commissioning activities. The post holder will work as part of a financial management team to achieve the ICB’s objectives, savings requirements and support clinical and non clinical requirements.

Person specification
Education / Qualifications
Essential criteria- Qualified CCAB and evidence of on-going personal development and learning.
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria- Sound knowledge of financial management, corporate finances and planning, including the development of on-going financial plan.
- Extensive experience of collaborative working across disciplines and organisational boundaries
- Previous NHS experience
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria- Excellent numerical and financial analysis skills (including use of appropriate IT tools)
- Ability to apply developed analytical and judgement skills to review highly complex processes and recommend appropriate actions
- Ability to prioritise team, own and others (if necessary) work to meet tight deadlines and targets.
- Ability to process highly complex and technical information

Essential criteria- Ability to work without supervision. Working to tight deadlines and often changing timescales.
