Job Duties:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to teachers in the classroom, assisting with lesson preparation, classroom management, and student supervision. You will work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts, assist with assessments, and help maintain a positive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Relevant experience working with children or young people
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education:
Completion of relevant Teaching Assistant training courses or qualifications is desirable
Experience:
Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of child development and learning processes
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Patience and empathy when working with students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
You will primarily work within a school setting, following the school term calendar. The role may involve standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting, as well as interaction with students, teachers, and parents.
