Job Summary: To provide co-ordination of identified site improvement programmes as well as to support and facilitate the delivery of safe and efficient site maintenance. To implement improvement requirements in line with identified responsibilities and goals.
Responsibilities: Identified portfolio of works as agreed with Site Facilities Manager which include planned and preventative measures and incorporates future planning of life-cycled maintenance. Review site risk assessments and complete identified audit processes as appropriate.
Monitor identified repeat issues that may occur and implement agreed plans to mitigate further recurrence. Manage concurrent works requirements in order to ensure completion of tasks in a timely and cost effective manner. Check the maintenance logbook and attend to items listed, reporting back to Site Facilities Manager when completed.
Attend to all remedial maintenance as discussed with the Site Facilities Manager. Undertake property inspections, identifying any issues, repairs or advisory works or recommendations for the general upkeep of the property. Undertake minor plumbing repairs, carpentry, building work and general maintenance.
Complete reactive maintenance works (e.g. Change light bulbs, check appliances etc) and carry out such minor electrical repairs as are within the post holders limits and legislation. Undertake and assist with maintenance and caretaking tasks, such as painting and decorating, gardens, fence panels, & gutters.
Supervising of volunteers as required assisting with developing their skills and knowledge. Attending to contractors or tradespersons when necessary. Undertake administrative record-keeping as required. Order parts supplies and equipment as authorised by the Site Facilities Manager Assist with fire emergencies and evacuation procedures, conduct routine testing of smoke/heat detectors/ Emergency lighting/fire extinguishers as required by legislation and record in fire log book.
Undertake any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the post and its grading, as requested by your line manager or his/her higher level of authority. This job description is not exhaustive and may be amended as necessary.
