Maintenance Manager
Salary: Competitive plus performance bonus, company car/car cash allowance, medical cover and pension.Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

- Drive, plan and manage daily operations of the maintenance department, servicing both the MRF and the MBT as well as to a lesser extent the Transfer Station, the Weighbridge and the HWRC. This includes driving the timely completion of PPM tasks, the delivery of appropriate corrective maintenance works and the optimised management of breakdowns (reactive maintenance).
- Manage and hold accountability for the maintenance budget and costs.
- Ensure the sound management of the CMMS
- Ensure the sound management of the stock of spare parts.
- Fully responsible for H&S of the maintenance team and activities. Strongly contribute to H&S of all operations across the IWMF.
- Ensure legal compliance of the site at all times in the area/for the activities under their responsibility.
- Fully accountable for all maintenance department staff, circa 10 employees (technicians, fitters mates, graduates and apprentices).
- Maintain a high standard of staff performance, quality of work and accountability through coaching, training and development.
- Work in harmony with other departments of the plant to ensure robust communication and enhanced operational efficiency, as well as innovative problem solving.
- Maintain and develop a portfolio of reliable engineering contractors that bring value for money, covering all the equipment and asset maintenance needs across the plant.
- Lead on most of the significant asset improvement projects, improving operations and safety across the plant.
- Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders including: contractors, central Technical Direction, equipment and parts manufacturers, industry specialists, and many others.
- Degree/Masters qualification in related field with relevant experience
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to prioritise in a fast paced environment
- A good knowledge of Health and Safety
- Have great relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to take constructive action without relying on directions from others
