Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities, resulting in the optimization of technical and financial resources. Each day, you will actively take part in the execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.You will also showcase your knowledge through the updating of technical documentation relevant to equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
Candidate will be on a PM shift working Monday to Thursday (2pm-10:15pm) and Friday (12pm-6pm). This will be standard shift pattern however successful candidate will be open to shift rotation when required by the business.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products Division in our Coleshill site.
Main stakeholders are Engineering, Production and Quality departments.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Defining maintenance plans for new/existing production lines and facilities, consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and facilities.
- Fault finding and solving issues on equipment across the plant to achieve maximum performance from the production lines.
- Propose and implement improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at optimizing machine operation and useability with particular focus on energy efficiency.
- Completing/implementing TPM, PPM and routine maintenance schedules for machines across the site.
- Responding to time critical breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems thus minimizing disruption to the production process.
- Time served/Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of maintenance activities with the use of CMMS systems. Also experience in data analysis through such systems to focus activities for greater results.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word. PowerPoint etc
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings to support manufacturing and machine improvements.
- Successful candidate will display good communication skills at all levels within the business.
- Manufacturing background with ideal experience being within conduit production machinery.
- Machining experience in a maintenance setting using tooling such as Lathes, Milling, grinding, drilling, welding etc.
- Understanding of conduit system products.
