Facilities Operations Manager - Portering

We are recruiting to a role in the Management team in the Division of Estates & Facilities. Reporting to the General Manager - Facilities, the post holder will play a pivotal role in the setting the direction of the portering, linen, post & stores services within Facilities.The postholder will have overall responsibility for the services, consisting of circa 100 people and over £2 million budget.
Our ideal candidate would be an experienced front of house/people manager from industries such as Soft FM, Retail, Hospitality, Hotels or Warehousing.
On a day to day basis, duties may include:-- Provide an operational leadership and management role for services liaising closely with the Facilities Operations Manager & Senior Operations Managers
- Being responsible for managing identified trust contracts in respect to portering services and ensures they are maintained to meet service need and are managed within budget.
- Lead on service development, improvement and modernisation within their areas
- Working collaboratively with Nursing, Departmental Service Leads and Infection Control teams in relation to the delivery of the portering & linen services
- Be educated to degree level or possess relevant qualifications with significant experience in a senior facilities role.
- Be a confident leader with excellent communication skills, with an interest in developing people to reach business goals in different service areas
- Have significant experience in budget management
- Have demonstrable experience in managing large staff groups in complex services
- A competitive salary between £46,148 - £52,809 pa pro rata + oncall
