We've got a fantastic opportunity to join our brilliant Culinary Innovation Team as a Kitchen Assistant based at Riverside Bakery, Nottingham.

Location: Riverside Bakery, Nottingham, NG2 1LW
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 16:00 (some flexibility required)
Salary: £25,000 per annum.
Purpose:
To support the culinary team in delivering daily tasks and the general running of the development kitchen in conjunction with thesite chef team. To maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and organise raw materials and samples daily.
Your Duties Will Include:
- General housekeeping of the New Product Development (NPD) kitchen, freezer, and chiller, adhering to a ‘clean as you go policy’
- Responsible for the temperature checks on all NPD fridges and freezers, to ensure they are running within required limits.
- Conform to relevant product, quality, safety and procedures
- Manage the stock and re-ordering all standard ingredients and packaging for the NPD kitchen
- Carry out the day-to-day hygiene within the working kitchen
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks according to the schedule and keep a record of completed jobs.
- Work with the team to prepare for internal and external customer taste panels.
- Update the NPD documents daily to record products/samples made.
- Participation in suitable training and development activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrate a passion for food, chef experience desirable
- The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- Reliable and conscientious
- Planning and organisation skills
- Effective communication and time management skills
- Works in an accurate, logical, methodical manner
- The ability to liaise with other departments
- Good time keeping and attendance
