Our Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Service at HMP Hewell is looking for a dynamic and experienced qualified Mental Health Professional to join it's team.
The team is innovative and forward thinking, committed to a Recovery focused approach. It works with people from initial assessment through to discharge, which can include transferring care to other providers such as hospitals or CMHTs, whilst working with a variety of agencies in the Offender Health Pathway.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the management and leadership of the team. With a small clinical caseload, you will offer assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced based interventions.
You will provide team leadership in co-ordinating the day to day provision of integrated wellbeing, mental health and substance use healthcare to service users in a custodial setting and maintain the overall standards which will include a single point of referral assessment and delivery of care within the framework of The Care programme Approach and recovery agenda.
This will involve both clinical responsibilities of managing a small caseload as well as day to day operational management .

- Support in the implementation of integrated care pathways including appropriate service user assessments and models of care within a stepped care mental health model.
- Co-ordinate care delivery, across the mental healthcare pathway e.g. referrals management, allocations of named worker/care co-ordinator, ensuring seamless continuity of care across the stepped care model dependent on service user need.
- Demonstrate the application of appropriate procedures and standards.
- Assist in the general management of the clinical area, with responsibilities for managing attendance.
- Lead on caseload and management supervision to monitor named nurse/care co-ordinator standards of service user care and documentation.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Mental Health Practitioner Qualification
- Relevant Degree or Post Graduate diploma/equivalent level of experience
Experience
Essential criteria- Considerable experience of working in the mental health field
- Experience of providing specialist interventions for those with mental health problems, counselling techniques, CBT, motivational interviewing
- Demonstrable experience at Band 6/7 or equivalent
