NWLP is based on a ‘hub and spoke’ structure; the majority of routine, specialist and non-urgent activity is centralised at our hub site at Charing Cross Hospital. Urgent tests required for immediate patient management and treatment are performed in 24/7 Essential Service Laboratories based on-site within the seven hospital sites in the group.

Job overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pathology Education Facilitator who can apply initiative and drive to support the roll out of our Learning Management System across North West London Pathology. The role is available on a 12-month fixed term or secondment basis.
You will need to possess an MSc or equivalent and demonstrate post HCPC experience and proficiency in the use of IT and software applications. You will have an interest in developing people, excellent technical, interpersonal and IT skills with an ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
You will be required to have detailed knowledge of competency training in a laboratory setting, regulatory standards governing laboratory training and provide professional lead in the delivery and management of digital competency assessments.The post holder will be based at St Mary’s hospital with some travel across NWLP sites required.

- Manage and facilitate delivery of digital competencies and training programmes for scientific and non-scientific roles on a new learning management system (LMS) across the different

NWLP Induction
The NWLP induction will run on the first Monday of each month (provided it does not fall on a bank holiday) and includes laboratory training (for relevant laboratory roles). All new staff must attend the NWLP induction during their first week with NWLP.

Education
Essential criteria- HCPC Registration
- MSc, FIBMS or equivalent in relevant discipline
- Evidence of achievement in the use of IT and software applications
- Training Qualification
- Digital or project management qualification
Skills
Essential criteria- Timely accurate working. Methodical
- Ability to show flexibility by performing multiple tasks
- Able to work as team member
- Ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of IBMS and UKAS IS0 15189 with respect to training
- Ability to generate multimedia content e.g. video, teaching slides, documents
Experience
Essential criteria- Training experience i.e. experience in learner competency assessment design and evaluation (or other learning design).
- Evidence of planning and successfully delivering projects
- Experience in compiling information from several sources and providing analysis, summary, and options
- Experience in quality assurance testing
- Experience in instructional design, multimedia development, and digital learning environments
