Personal Care Assistant - Macclesfield
**Location:** Macclesfield SK10
**Hourly Rate:** £12.90/hour
**Working Hours:** 11 hours per week; flexible schedule with AM/PM calls, including some weekends.
PA must live local to Macclesfield, SK10.
**About the Role:**
Are you a skilled and compassionate Personal Care Assistant looking for a rewarding role in private care? Join a dedicated team supporting a young, vibrant gentleman with a disability. Your role will focus on promoting his independence and ensuring a comfortable and positive living environment through respect, sensitivity, and a good sense of humour.
**Key Responsibilities:**- Assist with mobility, including hoisting to/from bed, shower, and wheelchair.
- Provide personal hygiene care, such as showering, shaving, and dressing.
- Prepare and serve light breakfasts.
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a pleasant environment.
- Support toileting routines, with flexibility to leave/return as required.
**Morning:** Assist with getting up, showering, grooming, and transitioning to a power wheelchair.
**Evening:** Assist with getting ready for bed, including hoisting and changing clothes.
(Note: No meal preparation is required beyond breakfast.)
**Skills and Qualifications:****Essential:**
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience with hoisting (training available).
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- A collaborative and flexible approach to teamwork.
- High integrity and maturity.
- Familiarity with power wheelchairs or similar equipment.
- Interest in theatre, cinema, or TV.
- A great sense of humour.

This young gentleman is a highly engaging individual with a Master's degree in Film & Theatre Studies. He loves meaningful conversations, has a great sense of humour, and enjoys TV, cinema, and current affairs.
