The Role:
This role is for a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our flexible lawyering division, JCS, based in London. The successful individual will report into and work closely with the Director and Head of JCS. Your desk will focus on flexible lawyering assignments (i.interim/contract roles), therefore you will not work on any permanent hiring mandates.
Due to our collegiate and collaborative culture, you will also work closely with consultants across our other divisions.
Typical Responsibilities and Duties will include:
- A full 360 recruitment role - working with both legal candidates and clients
- Engaging with candidates, taking appropriate career requirement details, and providing clear and precise notes to the team
- Shortlisting relevant candidates for opportunities
- Handling new client roles and the associated processes (adverts, written work, communicating with team, appropriate searches etc)
- Taking an active role in client meetings
- Running full processes without significant input from manager (to include pre-assignment compliance checks and set up, as well as check-ins during and after assignment)
- Business Development - to win, build and maintain client relationships
- Keeping abreast of market developments that can impact the legal market and hiring requirements
- Understanding the flexible lawyering market inside out, and being able to present bespoke solutions to clients
- Producing high quality and accurate written output
- Consistently recording matters on the CRM and communicating effectively with the internal team
Person Specification:
The ideal individual will possess:
- 2-5 years' recruitment experience (ideally), at a Consultant or Senior Consultant level. Experience recruiting into the legal market is preferable, but experience recruiting into other white-collar industries will also be considered
- Experience in and an in-depth knowledge of working an interim/contract market
- A high level of professionalism
- The ability to work autonomously and take responsibility
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational, time management skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritise work
- An enthusiastic approach to taking on new opportunities and challenges
