Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Waste Operations Manager (Level 9) to oversee and optimize our waste management processes. This pivotal role involves the strategic management of waste operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and fostering an environment of safety and sustainability.As the Waste Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of waste management initiatives to minimize environmental impact while enhancing operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop innovative waste reduction strategies and promote recycling and recovery initiatives.
This position requires strong leadership skills, as you will manage a team of professionals committed to maintaining a high standard of waste management practices. Additionally, you will analyze data trends to inform decision-making and improve service delivery.

ResponsibilitiesOversee daily waste operations and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Develop and implement waste management policies and strategies to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Lead and mentor a team of waste management professionals, providing guidance and support.
Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Manage relationships with external vendors and waste service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
Prepare and maintain operational budgets related to waste management activities.
Conduct training sessions for staff on waste management best practices and safety protocols.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Waste Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in waste operations management or a similar role.
Proven knowledge of waste management regulations and compliance standards.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle complex operational challenges.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and waste management software.
This is an operation role, you need to be in the office 5 days a week
Must have experience in Waste and Street Cleaning
A degree in waste management or WAMITAB
HGV licence (LGV 1)
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Day: £340.94
Location: Slough, Berkshire
