Practice Development Trainer
PCAS Kent Ltd is a rapidly growing company, providing support for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions. We currently operate in over 40 supported living services across Kent and provide outreach services to people in their own homes.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Practice Development Trainer, who will have responsibility for both the development and delivery of practice led training courses for our employees and alongside the L&D Manager, assess training and development needs for the organisation.
The successful candidate will have a background in Health and Social Care, ideally specific to L&D, autism and mental health with a strong understanding of the professional, regulatory, statutory and corporate framework/standards relevant to the sector.
The ideal candidate will be able to develop and implement recognised support practices, working hands on with staff on site to improve consistency and engagement levels for the people we support. Ideally you will have knowledge and experience of positive behaviour/active support practices.You will have experience in the delivery of a range of high-quality courses for staff across the organisation, creating course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs and will include MCA/DOLS, Autism, Safeguarding, Induction.
Excellent verbal and written skills are essential as is the ability to engage groups of people, along with competent IT skills including Microsoft applications.
