About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated Personal Assistant (PA) to support the Headteacher at both Islamia Girls’ School and Brondesbury College, London. This is a dynamic role that involves working closely with our leadership team and supporting the smooth operation of both schools.

You’ll play a key role in managing administrative and clerical functions, ensuring a high standard of service across both schools. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is proactive, organised, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing efficient PA support to the Headteacher, including complex diary management and scheduling.
  • Preparing paperwork for meetings, including minute-taking and follow-up activities.
  • Overseeing the organisation of meetings and events, ensuring all details are managed effectively.
  • Handling a range of administrative tasks, from document creation to maintaining detailed records.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality in all aspects of your work.
  • Collaborating with staff across both schools to support the school's ethos and mission.

About You:

  • We’re looking for a candidate who is confident, approachable, and can work well under pressure. Ideally, you’ll have a background in administrative support and a passion for education.

Key Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role, ideally supporting senior leadership.
  • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • High level of competency in IT, especially with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and other stakeholders.
  • A commitment to upholding the school’s Islamic ethos and values.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles within schools.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Desirable/Not essential
  • A-level's or Equivalent
  • GCSE'S or Equivalent

Islamia Girls’ School is a semi-selective, Muslim secondary school without sixth form, situated in Queen's Park, north-west London. The girls' school is independent and, along with the boys' secondary school, Brondesbury College, is part of Islamia Schools Ltd, a subsidiary of the Yusuf Islam Foundation.

Islamia Girls’ School provides up to 160 places for secondary students between the ages of 11 and 16.

The school was founded by Yusuf Islam (formerly known as singer-songwriter Cat Stevens) in 1989 to provide a well-rounded Islamic education whilst also following the National Curriculum.
