IT Support Engineer – 2nd Tier

Full-time | Permanent
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + annual company bonus
Location: Farringdon, London EC1R (Hybrid: 3 days remote)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Training: Initial onboarding at HQ in Winnersh RG41

Looking for your next challenge in IT? We're on the hunt for a 2nd Tier IT Support Engineer to join our fast-paced, forward-thinking IT Helpdesk team. If you’re a problem-solver who thrives on variety and loves making a difference, this role could be for you.

You’ll play a key part in keeping our systems running smoothly while offering top-tier support to users at all levels across our UK Advantage Smollan group of companies, Flixmedia, REL UK Group and JDH Solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Keep it all running: Install, maintain, and support PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Ticketmaster: Own, manage, and resolve Helpdesk tickets while escalating as needed, always within agreed SLAs.
  • Problem-preventer: Identify trends, tackle recurring issues, and suggest improvements to prevent future headaches.
  • Collaborate & innovate: Work solo or as part of a team to test and implement new solutions.
  • Documentation pro: Ensure policies are followed, and documentation is up-to-date.
  • Be flexible: Occasional out-of-hours work and providing cover for colleagues will be required.

What You Bring:

  • Customer-focused: Great customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Technical expertise:
  • Experience with Helpdesk ticket management.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and MacBooks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory (on-prem and cloud).
  • Expertise with Mobile Device Management, particularly InTune.
  • Networking (TCP/IP) and PC/laptop build & configuration experience.
  • ITIL advantage: Experience working in an ITIL environment is a bonus.
