Hull College is seeking an exceptional leader to join our senior management team as the Head of HE Development and Registry. This is a unique opportunity to drive the strategic development and operational excellence of our higher education provision while ensuring compliance with national regulatory standards.
You will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of our HE curriculum, fostering a culture of research and innovation, and strengthening the student experience. Reporting directly to the Vice Principals for Curriculum and Quality, this role is critical to delivering our mission of providing outstanding education that meets the needs of our students and the wider community.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to implement the College's Higher Education Strategy, ensuring it aligns with local markets and student needs.Curriculum Excellence: Drive curriculum innovation, research, and scholarly activity, ensuring high standards and a focus on enhancing the student experience.
Registry and Compliance: Act as HE Registrar, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements from the OfS, QAA, and other bodies while safeguarding academic standards.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with local, regional, and national stakeholders to support the growth and relevance of HE provision.
Quality Assurance: Lead on quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives, including self-assessment, quality improvement planning, and the implementation of action plans.
Student Experience: Oversee strategies to enhance student engagement and satisfaction, ensuring the effective resolution of issues and alignment with NSS objectives.
Team Leadership: Manage and support the HE team, fostering collaboration across departments to embed higher education as a key strength of the College.
Governance and Reporting: Chair HE governance committees, oversee the HE Academic Board, and provide comprehensive reporting on curriculum matters to senior leadership and external bodies.

A deep understanding of the higher education landscape, including curriculum development and quality assurance processes.Proven ability to manage compliance with regulatory requirements and to lead on academic governance.
A track record of fostering innovation, scholarship, and research in higher education.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead teams effectively.
