Role Specification
The role is based in Normanton, the northern hub for evo. This is the main site for all evo channels and some of the central services. The evo and evo Foundation Marketing Manager is expected to be based there along with the central group marketing team.However, the employee will be required to travel to other Group locations to work alongside colleagues and for external meetings as appropriate.
The role reports into the Group Product Marketing Director. The successful candidate will be based predominantly in the Normanton office, 5 days a week.
evo Connects suppliers with their consumers through their buying, distribution, marketing and sales platform. evo’s role is…To Buy, To Store, To Sell and To Ship as the UK and Ireland’s leading supplier of business and people supplies, with a stock holding of over £35 Million, delivering 30,000 products to over 2000 customers, via their own fleet offering UK nationwide next day delivery coverage.
During 2024, evo launched their own group charity, evo Foundation. Within this role, the successful candidate will oversee the marketing required for evo Foundation, raising the profile of the evo Foundation whilst developing and executing the yearly marketing and fundraising calendar.
Role Objective
The evo & evo Foundation Corporate Marketing Manager will lead the planning, coordination and execution of all Communications, Marketing and PR for evo, along with evo Foundation, both internally and externally. As brand custodians, they will manage and develop our brand propositions, attributes, values, imagery and tone of voice.
This is a broad marketing role requiring strong project management skills. The core objectives are to develop a strong brand presence with high quality, engaging communications.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and be the custodians of evo positioning and will ensure we have the correct purpose and values embedded into our external activities.
- Work to communicate with, train and coach our group employees to use the propositions that have been created and will be the guardians of both brands.
- Take responsibility to ensure marketing actions and external activity is compliant with current legislation – e.g. GDPR and competition rules.
- Responsibility for the tools used in the different business areas for marketing automation and will take the lead in consolidating these marketing technologies to a simplified list.
- Create and execute a PR strategy for each brand, whilst leading our engagement with the external agencies linked to our product sets. (e.g. BOSS, OPI, EcoVadis, Sedex, CHSA etc)
- Responsible for internal communication activities and the development of our communication platforms, eVue.
- Responsible for packaging up all the CSR improvements and activities into a coherent marketing assets that can be marketed to evo stakeholders.
- They will lead and manage the continuous improvement of our corporate websites (evo & evo Foundation) including SEO, content, blogs, case studies and testimonials.
- Develop, lead and execute our content strategy.
- Responsible for gathering Supplier and market insights conducting research e.g., satisfaction surveys, positioning surveys.
- Responsible for our evo & evo Foundation corporate marketing expenditure budgets.
- Strong marketing background
- Experience of creating and delivering a marketing strategy in a commercially focused B2B or B2C company
- Outstanding execution, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills.
- Readiness to operate in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Understands key steps in delivering marketing and brand strategy.
- Significant knowledge of all aspects of the marketing mix with strong analytical skills.
- Evidence of digital marketing knowledge across email, online and social channels.
- Commercial awareness, for managing budgets, controlling costs and analysing data.

- Marketing related Business Degree, CIM qualifications or similar
