Senior Communications Specialist
Role Overview:
We are on the lookout for a marketeer to join our team as our Promar Marketing Specialist, you will work closely with regional and global marketing teams to develop and execute the Promar marketing strategy for growth and lead the ABS marketing strategy for Sustainability.
You will effectively manage consultancy and data services and brands to customers and prospects to deliver an outcome aligned with business objectives. You will utilise the entire marketing mix and appropriate channels to drive lead generation and sales for Promar.
In addition, you will work with the Global Communication Manager, Global Sustainability Director and Promar Sustainability teams to drive the monetisation of the dairy and beef sustainability strategy by developing and implementing external comms plan for genetics as key sustainability intervention and developing product positioning and messaging for LCA work.
You Will:
- Drive marketing strategy (including digital) and deliver on improving internal and external brand awareness. Deliver an ROI on marketing spend through lead generation
- Plan effective and targeted campaigns using the central team using the whole marketing mix and marketing channels to deliver growth. Working with Promar team to gather specific content
- Direct the development of the Promar website social media platforms and e-marketing activity. Monitor and respond as required to all issues involving public relations and social media
- Drive insights partner to deliver valuable and actionable insights to shape Promar marketing strategy
- Working with Global Communication Manager and Global Sustainability Director and Promar Sustainability teams to drive the monetisation of the dairy and beef sustainability strategy by:
- Finalize and implement overarching ABS sustainability stakeholder messaging
- Internal rollout aligned with other ABS and Genus messaging
- Finalize timeline for internal comms and develop training plan
- Materials and plan/timeline for external comms
- Tell the ABS sustainability story
- Develop and implement external comms plan for genetics as key sustainability intervention
- Support sustainability product development work – specifically related to carbon reduction
- Develop strategy for global stakeholder engagement efforts
- Leverage in-progress work in beef; grow footprint in dairy
- Develop materials/visuals, comms plan, etc
- Develop product positioning and messaging for LCA work
- Support work to monetise carbon claims – pricing and positioning (this in in PLM)
- Internal and external engagement

Requirements:
- A marketing or agricultural related degree is preferable
- Demonstrated in-depth marketing knowledge and experience
- Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
- A keen problem solver who takes a new perspective using existing solutions
- Can works independently, with minimal guidance
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- May lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
- Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information; works to build agreement
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
