Working hours between 8am - 6pm (Monday to Saturday)
Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

The opportunity
We are currently looking for bank cover in Inpatient Bookings to cover annual leave and support the team during busy periods. As a Bookings Administrator at our Wessex Hospital, you will input theatre and outpatient bookings. You will be required to liaise with different departments within hospital, medical secretaries and patients.At times you may also be offered opportunity to help other departments.
As a Bookings Administrator, you will:
- Ensure complex administration and support meets all required standards and timescales.
- Manage, appraise, and interpret data, information and /or situations.
- Handle all enquires, or queries raised efficiently and effectively, escalating appropriately where necessary.
- Ensure all data/information is entered, modified, maintained and presented accurately and efficiently using the appropriate electronic or manual system and format.
- Prepare standard and ad hoc reports as requested and required by the department.
As a Bookings Administrator, you will have:
- Good IT and keyboard skills.
- Good communication/interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational and analytical skills.
- Good customer service skills.
- Good knowledge and understanding of medical terminology desirable but not essential.
- Be prepared to undertake training as necessary for the role.

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a stunning 46 bedded private hospital in West Hampshire with specialisms in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women's Health and Spinal surgery. The hospital also benefits from having onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy so we can give our patients a complete package of care.There are 16 consulting rooms with speciality outpatient rooms, 46 private patient bedrooms with en-suite facilities, 24hr resident doctor on site (RMO) and four operating theatres and one endoscopy suite.
