Job Overview
This role is based full time in the office.

The candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to our senior executives, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of their daily activities. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling a wide range of tasks, with a high level of focus of supporting the Director of Strategy & Growth.

This role requires a high level of discretion, professionalism, and the ability to work independently. It would suit an ambitious individual, keen to be challenged and committed to optimising their potential.

Qualifications

It is anticipated that you will have a degree in a relevant subject (that could include marketing, human resources, business studies), supplemented with additional professional qualifications.
You will need to be well organised, able to prioritise and progress a number of different tasks in parallel.
It is essential that you uphold high professional standards, with the integrity to maintain confidentiality at all times.

It is crucial that you are personable and an intuitive manager of people, able to communicate effectively to help ensure things get done. You will need to use initiative and have a strong level of internal-motivation to bring action-orientated energy to this role.

Some experience of working in a small business would be desirable, but not essential as we envisage that the person undertaking this role would have ambition to grow and develop their career as the company grows.
You will have strong written and verbal communication abilities along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
Advanced experience of Microsoft Teams functionality and use along would also be of benefit as would a familiarity with Power BI.

A good familiarity with social media platforms including Linked In, Instagram and X is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The role would report to the Director of Strategy and Growth and would also support other Board Directors, including the Director of Finance and HR, as necessary.
Directors Board – prepare agendas, arrange meetings, attend monthly meetings, minute and record actions and maintain log to monitor progress of key initiatives.

Strategy – work closely with the Strategy Director to develop the annual business plans for Planning, Design and Environment, and the medium-long term growth strategies; help identify talent and broader infrastructure required for effective delivery.

Marketing and Communications – develop pitch packs and materials required to demonstrate experience and capability; produce client newsletter; coordinate and upload content to maintain visibility on social media; update and maintain company website; develop and execute positioning strategies for key strategic pursuits; manage and organise events and exhibitions; coordinate and prepare a regular internal newsletter, organise Town Hall meetings, Business Development - assist with tender preparation and bidding; maintain opportunity pipeline; monitor bid portals; update and enhance critical CSR elements such as Net Zero, community engagement; set up and promote regular CPD sessions for staff and clients.

HR and Recruitment – monitor and analyse staff appraisal data; assist with production of recruitment adverts; manage recruitment sifting and interview processes; update onboarding processes; facilitate effective onboarding; organise, execute and analyse regular staff surveys; undertake recruitment activities through the use of on-line platforms and tools; coordinate training and development activities within budget; Details

Salary £market rate depending on experience. We would also welcome applicants keen to develop their skills in a supportive environment whilst working with us.
Office base working – the role is based 5 days per week in a Mayer Brown office primarily Woking, with the expectation of flexibility to work in London and SE as required (travel expenses paid).

A current car driving licence is required and access to a vehicle preferable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £33,716.00-£36,718.00 per year
