YOUR ROLE
We're on the brink of an exciting new chapter with the launch of our state-of-the-art facility in Longtown, and we're looking for a dedicated Crane Supervisor/First Line Manager (FLM) to join our team. As our Supervisor/FLM, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Site General Manager in meeting our customers' high expectations.You'll be at the helm of day-to-day operations, ensuring the seamless functionality and performance of your team. You'll lead and guide Team Leaders, Warehouse Operatives, and Administrators, whilst upholding and maintaining the highest service standards.
A key responsibility will have you overseeing and managing all crane operations safely and efficiently within the facility. Join us in this pivotal role and be a part of our journey to excellence!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for effective and efficient Operational Area Management along with conducting management briefs and communicating operational requirements.
- Manage Staff Training and Competency to ensure achievement of all requirements, on time and in full, including conducting training needs analysis.
- Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements
- Manage and develop the team through mentoring/coaching colleague
- Ensure crane operations are managed and delivered in accordance to the customer requirements
- Continually reviewing all aspects of the operation and driving improvements in methods, procedures and efficiency
- Creating and maintaining an environment that encourages employee participation and effective team working and ensuring employees are involved in the success of the operation through continual feedback and positive communication.
- Logistics management experience in a large fast moving environment
- Crane operations primarily fixed overhead
- Strong warehouse management system experience
- Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate
- Financial and strategic management experience and commercial awareness
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- IOSH Level Trained (Preferable)
- Knowledge and awareness of Heavy lift/ Container handling
