Holmer Green is a popular 11 to 18 school with 1200 students (170+ in the Sixth Form) and is expanding. Holmer Green Senior School is offering an exceptional opportunity to lead our Social Sciences Department, currently incorporating Sociology and Psychology, and which has high uptake of students at GCSE and A Level.
We are looking for a passionate person who is enthusiastic about leading the department and has a specialism in teaching KS5 Sociology. You would be ambitious for our students and community, support our inclusive ethos and welcome the chance to flourish in an outstanding area.The teaching timetable will include teaching across all key stages.
The Head of Department would look to continue to develop the department into an area of excellence, by bringing the subject area to life and promoting it beyond the classroom through enrichment activities. The Head of Department will form part the middle leadership team and will contribute to whole school CPD and peer coaching programmes.
