  • FridaySalary: Offering a salary up to £57,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus a car allowance.Job grade: BClosing date: 22/04/2025We have an opportunity for a Regional Risk Manager to cover the North London Area.The role of the Regional Risk Manager is to lead a team of Project Liaison Engineers and a Project Optimisation Manager.
These roles assist the North London region with Directly Managed Projects / Risks associated with the STWs within the North London catchment area.The role liaises with key stakeholders within Operations as well as Asset Management, Capital Delivery (including delivery office) and Finance Teams.The Area Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing minor capital work budgets and directly managing capital for planned and reactive maintenance health & safety.Covering the 3 North London Wastewater Treatment Works, this strategic role is to identify and manage operational risks within the region manage immediate investment within a 12-24-month horizon and assist with the planning needs of future AMPs.What you will be doing as a Regional Risk ManagerThe delivery of asset enhancement and health & safety initiatives across 4 Sewage Treatment sites.Being accountable for maintaining risk data as well as prioritisation of risks via the Thames Water risk register system.Improving process headroom across sites to safeguard compliance, generation and budgetary performance.Managing £20m
  • £30m of Capital Investment per year.Leading and managing a team of 3 (Project Liaison Engineers and Project Optimisation Manager).Ensure effective local risk meetings and senior risk review meetings are held in compliance with business standard requirements with a focus on continuous improvement and review.Work in parallel with other ADMs and colleagues across Thames Water to ensure a standard approach across risk management and AMP planning.Be a leading figure across the London operation with the engagement of Maintenance Project engineers and management for timely and effective project delivery.Work closely with asset management and the delivery office in the selection of best-fit delivery routes for future projects, utilising in-house skills such as design to facilitate effective and efficient delivery of DMC projects.Being responsible for the interfaces between Operations and Capital Delivery teams for site improvement schemes.Driving a culture of safety, performance management, exceptional customer service and experience.Actively promoting a continuous improvement culture that has a sustainable strategic impact on both Operational and wider business performance.Demonstrating the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure and inspire others to do the same by maintaining a positive can-do attitude seeing challenges as opportunities.Consistently raising the performance bar by being demanding, challenging and supportive of your teams and peers.What should you bring to the role?Essential attributes include a strong health & safety background, managing finance, chairing meetings and leading a team.The successful candidate will have the ability to think commercially with regards to all financial expenditure, analysing benefits and risks and articulating sound business cases including the wider business impacts for investment considering both OPEX and CAPEX.You will have a proven track record in programme/project management with previous Mechanical and/or Electrical experience or a process-recognised qualification is preferable.We also require a candidate with a proven track record of delivering change in operational performance experience in managing multi-functional (direct or indirect) teams across geographically dispersed areas and broad business knowledge and demonstrable commercial acumen.To be successful in this role you will have extensive relevant experience or functional management possess strong communication and influencing skills and will be able to articulate clear and robust business cases linked to benefits and risk.Due to the nature of this role, a valid driving license is essential.Whats in it for you?Offering a salary up to £57,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus a car allowance.26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays).Access to lots of benefits to help you take care of your and your familys health and well-being, and your finances
