Classroom Assistant
Part-Time Classroom Assistant – Central London
Hours: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Summer Term)
We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support our primary school pupils in a varied and active role. Working closely with class teachers, the successful candidate will assist with general classroom tasks, Park and playtime supervision, and activities across the school day.
This role will include:
- Park and playtime duty, ensuring pupils' safety and engagement during outdoor activities.
- Supporting games lessons, helping to set up and assist with sports and physical activities.
- Lunch time supervision, monitoring behaviour and table manners and assisting our kitchen team during a busy period in the school day.
- Classroom support, including preparing and maintaining displays, assisting with art and craft activities, and caring for school equipment.
- General pastoral care, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all pupils.
The successful applicant should be comfortable with minor first aid (e.g., treating scrapes and grazes in the park) and be able to support pupils in a multicultural, multilingual school environment. This position would particularly suit a graduate considering a future career in education or someone looking for work during the summer months.
