It involves working with the events and administrative team to deliver high quality, educational courses that are evidence-based and focused to the various healthcare providers who attend. It will also involve developing innovative online educational resources and management of social media accounts.
You will also support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and have shared responsibility with colleagues for the educational supervision of trainees and visiting professionals attending the department. You will be encouraged to further your professional development in medical education and you may wish to undertake a post graduate degree (Diploma or MSc in medical education), and will be supported in your job plan to allow for this.
You will provide support and teaching for the postgraduate Masters in Clinical Dermatology (MSc) course (Kings College London and St Johns Institute of Dermatology) Medical Dermatology As a senior clinical fellow, you will be fully integrated into the multi-disciplinary medical dermatology team.
Clinical responsibilities will be delivered primarily in an outpatient based and ambulatory care setting. You will receive general and sub-specialty dermatology training. You will undertake 2.5 tertiary dermatology clinics per week and 0.75 general dermatology clinics per week (i.e. 3 general dermatology clinics per month).
The tertiary dermatology clinics will comprise weekly specialist eczema and psoriasis clinics, and a third specialist clinic on alternate weeks based on your area of interest such as (but not exclusive to) immunobullous disease, skin lymphoma, photobiology, hair or paediatric dermatology.
