Finance Director

This is a new and essential role for the business, where you will work alongside the family and recently appointed directors.

• Lead, motivate and mentor a small finance team to support the growth plans of the business.
• Improve some of the manual systems across the business, aligning with the Sage system.
• Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure accuracy and alignment with company goals.
• Provide strategic guidance on capital allocation, investment decisions, and financial risk management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with department heads to optimize operational efficiency and drive profitability.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including banks, auditors.
• Monitor financial performance against key metrics and provide actionable insights to the MD / senior management.

An ability to roll your sleeves up is essential, and to get down in the “trenches” and understand what is going on in the business is absolutely essential for the success of this role.
