Bromley Beacon Academy (BBA) is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our team, providing specialist education for children with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is an opportunity to contribute to a school that is committed to driving up standards and striving for Outstanding status.
Day to Day of the role:
- Delivering engaging science lessons to students with SEMH needs across various key stages.
- Developing core skills in literacy and numeracy while offering a broad curriculum to spark student interest.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that caters to individual student needs.
- Collaborating with colleagues to implement effective teaching strategies and improve educational outcomes.
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
- Contributing to the school’s ongoing development and success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching science.
- Understanding of the educational needs of students with SEMH.
- Ability to plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in spoken English as per the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Willingness to engage with continuous professional development.
