Production Operative - Fork Lift Truck Driver

Working Pattern: Full Time (4on4 off: 7am- 7pm, 7pm- 7am)
Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation in the Melton Mowbray area, is currently seeking a Skilled Production Operative to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company in the manufacturing industry.Someone with forklift truck experience would be desirable.
Duties include: Driving Counterbalance FLT, unloading pallets of raw meat from lorries, loading into mixers, basic machine operating, using power washers to maintain hygiene standards, feeding materials onto production lines, carrying out quality checks and completing associated paperwork.Operators will be expected to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards and housekeeping are maintained. Some manual handling maybe required.
Experience required: You must hold a current FLT licence, although you will be required to undertake and pass an FLT assessment.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture prepared pet food products through the operation and control of the production process
- Contribute to the execution of the shift production plan
- Ensure the quality of products meets the brand specifications
- Identify and escalate quality and process issues
Requirements:
- GCSE level in English and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent
- Good team player with a flexible approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good level of manual dexterity
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience on FLT trucks

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £12.78 and follows a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (7am- 7pm, 7pm- 7am).
Located just a few minutes' walk from a train station, the Factory is conveniently situated in Melton Mowbray.
