LTF Recruitment specialises in long term to permanent roles in education settings. Our partner secondary school are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Derby, DE1.
The role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners, enhancing their academic growth and personal development.
Role Responsibilities:- Actively support students with special educational needs to access and engage with learning
- Deliver personalised 1-1 and small group support
- Monitor and facilitate the progress of students, nurturing their social, emotional and academic development
- Establish open lines of communication with members of staff and parents
- Facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation with learning
- Support classroom teachers with maintaining a positive learning environment
- A relevant qualification or degree is desirable
- Experience of working within an education setting or similar
- Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse learning needs, adapt learning and provide tailored support
- Have a passion for education and fostering a positive learning experience for all students
- An Enhanced DBS and two references are requirement for this role
