We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with SEMH students to provide tailored support, guidance, and encouragement to ensure they reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN/SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
- Support students with emotional regulation, social skills development, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the SENCO and other relevant staff members.
- Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN and SEMH education.
Pay rate is dependent on experience & qualifications.
Requirements:- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
- A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
- Ability to work 5 days a week.
