We have full time, part time available, please note at this time we are not recruiting to any Bank positions.

Many of our Clinical Support Worker have trained to Senior Clinical Support Worker level and some are now training to ‘top up’ to Registered Nurses.

The role of the Clinical Support Worker in the Trust is different depending upon the ward or department the role is based, however you would be delivering care and support to our patients, learning new skills in assessment and documentation.

Main duties of the job

  • If you are shortlisted for interview for this role you will need to be able to attend the full day assessment day on Saturday 16th May 2026. We are unable to provide an alternative date or online interviews for this role
  • This event is for Royal Stoke University Hospital Please do not apply if you want to be based at County Hospital
At the event there will be a short English and Maths test for you to complete
  • On the day of the interview, you will need to bring full ID documents including Right to Work documentation and UKVI documentation (If applicable).
  • If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role however it is important to note that UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa, you must also have at least six months until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons

Right to Work documentation:

  • Passport (if external to UK please bring your UKVI share codes)
  • A British birth certificate along with evidence of National Insurance Number
Additionally you will need to provide two proofs of address such as:
  • Bank statement or utility bill (dated within the last 3 months)
  • Tenancy agreement / Mortgage Statement/ Council Tax statement (Dated within the last 12 months)
  • Driving Licence (In current address and valid)

Please ensure if any of your ID is in a different name you are able to provide proof of name change.

  • Evidence of good numeracy and literacy

  • Care Certificate (This is mandatory to undertake in the first 12 weeks of employment commencing)
  • Ability to cover a variety of shifts over 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays

If you are currently in the UK on a visa, you must have at least six months remaining on your visa at the time of your start date to ensure sufficient time for the operational and training process associated with the role. The requirement of at least six months remaining on your visa does not apply to a Skilled Worker Visa, as a new Skilled Worker Visa would be required for a new role.

In line with the change of Immigration rules on 8th January 2026 if you require Sponsorship through the Skilled Worker Visa you must be able to provide B2 English evidence before a Certificate of Sponsorship can be issued.

Visa eligibility notice: The UK Home Office has imposed an emergency brake on specific visa routes.
  1. Skilled Worker visas cannot currently be issued to Afghan nationals.
  2. Study visas cannot currently be issued to nationals of Afghanistan, Cameroon, Myanmar or Sudan.

As a result, we are unable to progress applications requiring sponsorship under these routes.
