SEN Support Assistant – Autism Support – Exeter
Salary: £84.50 - £90.00 per dayStart Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time (Temporary, with potential to become permanent)
Teaching Personnel is seeking a SEN Support Assistant to work with children with Autism in a well-regarded school in Exeter. This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one and small group support to help students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with Autism both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist in the implementation of individual learning plans (IEPs).
- Encourage communication and social interaction.
- Promote a positive and structured learning environment.
- Help manage behaviour and provide tailored support for tasks.
- Work closely with teachers and staff to ensure student success.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children, ideally with Autism or SEN.
- Passionate about supporting children’s development.
- Patient, empathetic, and able to manage challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and teamworking skills.
- Willingness to apply for an enhanced DBS check.
