Practice Nurse

£32,000 - £35,000 pro rata for 30 hours per week
(£25,600 - £28,000 for 30 hours)
We are seeking a Practice Nurse with one year of experience to join our team near Nine Elms Underground Station. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive care in all areas of General Practice Nursing.
Key Requirements:
- General Practice Experience: One year of experience required
- NMC Registration: Must be a registered General Nurse with full NMC registration
- Qualifications and Certificates: Preferred qualifications include Diabetic Check, Medication Review, Child Immunisation & Travel immunisation, Cervical Smear, COPD review, Spirometry, Ear syringing, and administration of Flu/Pnuemo/B12/Covid injections, Zoladex/Prostap. Prescribing collation distinct advantage
- Skills and Training: Must have the necessary skills and training to run spirometry, diabetes, smoking cessation, and travel clinics
- Chronic Disease Management: Competent in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension
- Health Promotion: Active in health promotion and patient education
- Minor Surgery: Able to assist GPs with minor surgery
- Complex Dressings: Experienced in complex dressings
- IT Systems: Proficient in working with IT systems, including GP clinical systems such as EMIS and Office software
Main Duties:
- Deliver care in all areas of General Practice Nursing, including travel and child vaccinations, family planning, and cytology
- Assist GPs with minor surgery and other clinical procedures
- Run clinics for spirometry, diabetes, smoking cessation, and travel health
- Conduct health checks, medication reviews, and other preventive care services
- Participate in health promotion and patient education initiatives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
