Qualified Electrician
Location: Wolverhampton/Birmingham Area

Hourly Rate: £20 per hour
Shifts: Odd days, minimum 7.5-hour shifts
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team, supporting a housing and student association in the Wolverhampton/Birmingham area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and efficiency of electrical systems within our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
- Install, inspect, and test electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and appliances.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, providing effective solutions.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid electrician certification and relevant qualifications.
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a residential or student housing setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work odd days and respond to emergency call-outs.
