About this role

With responsibility for creating, updating and reviewing web and app content and user experience journey to meet user and university needs, ensuring content is well structured, accurate and easy to find with a consistent look and feel that aligns to University brand identity and content strategy, following user centred design and content as a service principle.

Working collaboratively, to create a consistent and coherent experience that brings insights, data, and research to continually and incrementally deliver business and user benefits, championing agile ways of working and mindset.

About you

As a key member of our team, you will design and create web and app content that is user-focused, well-structured, and aligned with the University’s brand identity. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a consistent and seamless user experience by contributing to and using style guides, brand identity, and information architectures.

Your deep understanding of users and their needs, informed by research and testing, will enable you to craft content that is accessible, usable, and well-organised.

You will also draw on your experience in marketing campaigns to analyse user behaviour, measure performance, and provide valuable insights to improve user journeys and campaign effectiveness. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will identify, analyse, and recommend evidence-based solutions that meet user needs.

As an active participant in the content design community, you will share your knowledge of best practices, promote user-centred design, and agile principles. Additionally, you will mentor team members, contribute to the annual website calendar, and participate in content audits.

Your role will also involve drafting reports, delivering presentations, and adhering to the University’s policies on equal opportunities and health and safety.

Interviews are scheduled to take place remotely on Microsoft Teams.

This is a full-time, permanent post, working 37 hours per week.

UWE Bristol is a campus-based University and it is vital to our success and the delivery of an outstanding experience for our students that our campuses are dynamic and vibrant places to learn and spend time. This role is therefore campus based for 2 days per week with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.
