About the Role
As Counselling Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing and developing our counselling services within Tower Hamlets. You will oversee the delivery of high-quality counselling interventions as part of our community substance misuse provision and lead a dedicated team of counsellors, including volunteers and students.

Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating counselling services, including referrals, assessments, and client allocations.
- Recruiting, training, and supervising volunteer and student counsellors.
- Providing one-to-one counselling and clinical supervision in line with BACP/UKCP guidelines.
- Developing pathways to improve access and outcomes for clients.
- Driving service improvement and innovation, working collaboratively with the leadership team.

Location
This role is based in Tower Hamlets, with the flexibility to adapt to service needs.
Responsibilities:
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and motivated individual who shares our vision and values.
You’ll have:
- A Level 4 counselling qualification (or higher) with at least 200 supervised client hours and membership of BACP, UKCP, or an equivalent professional body.
- Experience of counselling supervision (or working toward a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision).
- Expertise in therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, or Transactional Analysis.
- Proven leadership skills and experience of managing or supervising volunteers.
- A passion for supporting individuals affected by substance misuse and a trauma-informed approach.

Salary Range (pro rata if part time): CGL points 31 to 33 (£34,700.09 - £36,635.37)
