We are an early-stage venture capital fund focused on investing in transformative, non-digital deep tech companies. The RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and intellectually curious Associate to join our investment team based in the Midlands, UK (remote working is acceptable). This role will be a critical part of our small, dynamic team, where you will have a significant impact on our investment strategy and portfolio development.
You will work closely with the partners to identify, evaluate, and support early-stage companies that are at the forefront of deep tech innovation.

Key Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing & Analysis: Proactively identify and engage with high-potential deep tech startups. Conduct initial assessments, market research, and competitive analysis to develop investment theses.
Due Diligence: Lead due diligence processes, including deep dives into technology, market potential, financials, and competitive landscapes. Collaborate with technical advisors and industry experts to evaluate the technical and commercial viability of potential investments.
Portfolio Management: Support portfolio companies post-investment by providing strategic guidance, connecting them with relevant resources, and helping them navigate their growth journeys.
Market Insights: Stay updated on emerging trends, technological advancements, and key players in the deep tech ecosystem. Share insights with the team and contribute to the development of the firm's investment strategy.
Networking & Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with founders, co-investors, industry experts, and other key stakeholders in the deep tech ecosystem.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in venture capital, ideally with a focus on deep tech sectors. Candidates with a background in deep tech startups, corporate venture arms, or strategy consulting with exposure to deep tech will also be considered.
Technical Acumen: Strong understanding or interest of non-digital deep tech sectors such as Advanced Materials, Robotics, Quantum Computing, AgriTech etc. A technical degree (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Life Sciences) is preferred but not required.
Analytical Skills: Ability to critically analyze business models, market opportunities, and competitive dynamics. Experience with financial modeling and valuation techniques is essential.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.Passion for Innovation: Genuine enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies and their potential to solve real-world problems.
Location Flexibility: Based in or willing to relocate to the Midlands, UK.
