Sustainability Delivery Manager

£40,000 to £50,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)

Manchester City Centre, in this role you'll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home, the office and you'll have the opportunity to visit our suppliers (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).

We're looking for a Sustainability Delivery Manager to join Co-op's Ethics, Sustainability and Policy (ESP) team. We'll look to you to support the management and creation of plans that underpin the Co-op sustainability strategy for ESP team and our supplier activity.

You'll be working with our sustainability, commercial teams, and suppliers to help deliver our Co-op sustainability commitments, specifically the decarbonisation of our supply chain and Net Zero ambitions. As a Sustainability Delivery Manager, it'll be up to you to make sure that our Co-op is making a positive impact for our suppliers, communities, and member owners.

What you'll do
  • Manage sustainability plans for supplier and ESP activity, to support the delivery of our decarbonisation targets and sustainability commitments
  • Work with categories and sustainability subject matter experts on priority projects
  • Work cross functionally with technical, product development, commercial and other teams at Co-op and suppliers on key sustainability activity
  • Support supplier and category engagement, working on priorities and monitoring, driving and reporting on progress
  • Project manage specific sustainability activities in support of supplier activity or ESP plans
  • Make sure that sustainability is a priority for both internal and external teams and suppliers
  • Monitor risk management against sustainability plans
