SEMH teaching assistant
Start Date: After Easter – Full Time

Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEMH school, starting after Easter. This is a full-time, potential long term role, offering the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of students who require additional support in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with SEMH needs, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with the delivery of tailored lessons and interventions, ensuring each student's needs are met.
- Support classroom management, helping to create a calm and structured environment.
- Encourage positive social interactions and personal development.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and insights to help improve learning outcomes.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience working with students with SEMH, autism, or other additional needs is desirable but not essential.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff.
- A commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in education, psychology, or related fields are a bonus.
