Personal Assistant required for a soon to be 10-year-old girl with Down Syndrome living in the Redruth area

She is very talkative and loves having fun, getting creative and crafting, trying new things.

She has independence and determination in bucketloads, so needs someone to foster that, while ensuring she is safe and supported.

The Personal Assistant is required to support her with social activities such as dance, swimming and outdoor activities, as well as life skills, like cooking.

Occasional support is also required for family days out.

Flexible hours but mainly weekends and school holidays. £12.60 an hour, plus mileage (business class insurance required)

Some knowledge or experience of working with young people with special educational needs is preferred.

The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
