This is an opportunity to join a growing and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Altrincham.
Working within a close-knit team of five, you'll manage a varied portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients whilst building strong relationships and becoming a trusted adviser.

The Role
As Client Manager, you will manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, providing a broad range of accounting, tax and advisory services whilst ensuring exceptional client service at all times.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality work, managing deadlines and acting as a key point of contact for clients.
You will work closely with the Client Director and wider team, supporting clients through all stages of their business journey whilst helping to drive efficiency and continuous improvement across the practice.
Client Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
- Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies
- Complete corporation tax computations and returns
- Prepare self-assessment tax returns
- Monitor client deadlines and ensure all work is completed accurately and on time
- Build strong relationships with clients and act as a trusted point of contact
- Provide practical accounting and business advice to clients
- Review financial information and identify opportunities to add value
- Track job progress and support billing targets
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations
- Utilise systems including IRIS, Xero, Sage and Dext
- Support and mentor junior members of the team
- Assist the Client Director with client service delivery and practice growth initiatives
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies across the practice

Client Manager Requirements:
This role would suit someone who is:
- AAT qualified, ACCA qualified, ACA qualified or equivalent
- Experienced within an accountancy practice environment
- Comfortable managing client relationships and taking ownership of their work
- Experienced in preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax and self-assessment returns
- Confident communicating with clients and providing advice
- Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Positive, personable and able to contribute to a close-knit team environment
- Someone who leads by example and enjoys supporting colleagues
- Motivated, proactive and capable of working independently
