Zero hours contract - Bank Catering/Retail Team Member
An opportunity has arisen to work with the DSFS catering/retail team located within Chesterfield Royal Hospital. The role will allow the individual to be flexible in the hours they work with shifts available from 6am until 8pm, Monday to Sunday, within various outlets located throughout the Trust.
As a Catering/Retail Assistant you will be the face of our business, delivering exceptional customer service at one of our many outlets where we provide catering and retail services. You'll join a team that takes a real pride in what they do, takes pride in their food and most of all, join a company that takes pride in its people.
Key benefits of working for DSFS
Pay enhancements of 40% for any hours worked after 8pm and before 6am Monday to Friday and hours worked on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
NEST pension scheme -upon joining you can choose whether to pay 5% or 8% and DSFS will match whichever you choose.

Main duties of the job
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Work across all our catering and retail outlets
- Your duties will include serving customers in our catering and retail outlets, basic food preparation, cleaning and generally ensuring that our customer areas are ready for business
- Taking responsibility for stocking food and beverage areas.
- Complete regular day to day activities as required to ensure a smooth operation.
- Take a flexible approach to work and always demonstrate the great behaviours to colleagues, customers and clients.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria- Level 2 food hygiene certificate or willing to undertake
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, or equivalent experience (to include Maths and English)
- Good knowledge of Food safety
- Advanced Food
- Experience with Food Allergies, special diets and labelling
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience in a similar position where there are peaks and troughs in demand during service times
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria- A good communicator, able to converse easily
- Excellent customer care skills
- Professional approach, being aware of the diversity of customers served
- Must be able to work without constant supervision and meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to prioritise and organise own workload
