We are recruiting for an experienced Multi-skilled trades person, to teach practical skills to young people in our Construction simulation suite.
We are looking for someone skilled in painting and decorating, titling, woodwork and joining, light maintenance work and furniture repair. Someone who would enjoy the opportunity to share their knowledge, skills and experience of the trades with young people in an alternative education setting.
You will be offered a self employed contract, this is a 4 days a week term time only position. Working hours are 9.30 am until 2.30 pm.
While we value qualifications, it is more important that:
you are confident with learners who have challenging behaviours
The ideal candidate will be approachable and understanding and able to maintain order and learning in the environment.
Teaching qualification not necessary as full training is provided.
