Workplace Adjustment Team Leader

DWP is looking to fill 1 Team Leader role in the Workplace Adjustment team within People Strategy, which forms part of the People & Capability directorate.

The role available will be based in either of the following P&C Hubs: Sheffield (Kings Court) Leeds (Quarry House) Newcastle (Benton Park View) Glasgow (Atlantic Quay) Birmingham (Arena Central)

The DWP Centralised Workplace Adjustment Team (CWPA) was established to streamline the process of providing workplace adjustments for employees with disabilities and health conditions, supporting line managers in implementing necessary adjustments for job applicants or employees with a disability or long-term limiting condition.

The CWPA Team is a high-performing, friendly, supportive, and inclusive team in a demanding but rewarding environment.

As a senior Operational Leader, you will support the flexible, effective, personalised delivery of customer service, quality and performance across the team. You will provide senior management leadership, and effective use of resource, to ensure performance targets and customer objectives are met.

Given the portfolio of the team, experience of and interest within the HR and Workplace Adjustments arena is preferable.

The successful candidate can expect to be involved in a range of the following:

An active member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing visible and effective leadership taking a personal lead in engaging with and communicating key messages and implementing corporate changes.

Role model positive behaviours, effective leadership and encourage collaborative working between teams and directorates to drive innovation and service improvements across DWP.

Contribute to business and people planning activities ensuring appropriate and effective deployment of people and resources.

Accountable for the management of performance and service delivery within the workplace adjustments team and undertaking regular performance reviews with their colleagues, identifying risks to performance achievement and opportunities for driving forward continuous improvement.
