SENIOR COMMERCIAL MANAGER – FOOD SERVICE WHOLESALE
Location: Crewe / Hyrbid with National TravelWorking Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 5:00 pm), flexibility required for travel and events

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead our Food Service Wholesale business. This is a key role within the group, responsible for driving commercial strategy, building strategic relationships, and ensuring that our products continue to delight
our growing food service customers across the UK.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Customer Relationships: You’ll manage day-to-day relationships with national Food Service Wholesale accounts, ensuring
- Strategy Implementation: Working closely with the Customer Director for Food Service, you’ll develop and implement strategic
- Team Leadership: Oversee the management of a National Account Manager and a Commercial Executive, guiding them to achieve sales
- Business Growth: Identify new business opportunities, drive growth within existing accounts, and collaborate with
- Market Insight: Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and category management principles to continuously drive
- Operational Collaboration: Liaise across functions—Supply Chain, Production, NPD, and Technical teams—to deliver on customer
- National Travel: Travel across the UK for client meetings and industry events, representing TCFG with professionalism and
gravitas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Managing commercial, supply chain, and NPD relations with key Food Service Wholesale customers.
- Negotiating contracts and agreements to secure mutual satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Ensuring product safety and quality by collaborating with quality assurance and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Promoting a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a Commercial Sales or National Account Management role within the UK food industry, ideally
- Leadership: Proven experience managing teams and driving performance, with a strong track record of meeting sales targets and
- Relationship Building: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to form, build, and maintain strong
- Strategic Thinker: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to see opportunities, act on them, and deliver results.
- Category Management Expertise: In-depth understanding of category management, with the ability to influence and shape market
- Technical Skills: Outstanding computer skills (MS Office), strong numeracy, and the ability to analyse and use market data
- Drive and Ambition: Entrepreneurial spirit with energy, passion, and the resilience to succeed in a fast-paced, competitive
environment.
