The position of Class 1 Night Driver involves:
- Delivering and collecting palletised goods to customers using a curtain sided vehicle.
- Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
- Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
- Using a hand held PDA to complete daily vehicle checks.
- Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
- Attending regular training sessions.
Essential skills required for Class 1 Night Driver:
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Working to deadlines.
- Confident, polite and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
- Basic salary for Class 1 Night Driver is £37,255pa (including night shift allowance).
- Rest day working paid.
- £70 every 5 years for HGV Medical.
- Attendance for CPC paid.
- Hours of work are based on a 4on 4off rota, starting at 18:00hrs.
