Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a mainstream primary school environment? If so, we would love for you to join our team as an SEN Teaching Assistant in Bournemouth! We are offering both full-time and part-time positions, allowing you to work flexibly around your personal commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with SEN, enabling them to fully engage with the curriculum.
- Assist in creating and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with class teachers to ensure an inclusive, positive learning environment for all students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support, helping students achieve academic and social goals.
- Support behavior management and encourage positive social interaction in the classroom.
- Assist with personal care where required, supporting student independence.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A passion for working with children with SEN in a mainstream primary school.
- Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key!
- Patience, empathy, and an ability to build positive relationships with children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- A flexible, proactive approach to supporting children's diverse learning needs.
