Hook - DT Technician
Full-time | Term time (33 weeks per year) | 37.5 hours per week
The DT Technician will assist the Design & Technology Department in their delivery of the curriculum throughout the school up to GCSE and A Level. The Technician will be responsible for providing the department with technical support to deliver the curriculum to students whilst championing health and safety awareness.
Other responsibilities include monitoring stock control, ordering, receiving and checking deliveries, specifically across the two workshops and CAD/CAM facilities. At present there is one technician within the department, responsible for supporting the textiles curriculum.
The DT Technician will work alongside the current textiles technician to help deliver Design & Technology and support 4 subject teachers on a daily basis, in line with lesson plans and will report to the Head of Design & Technology.
