About the College/Department

As a HR Advisor, you will work as part of the HR Business Partnering team, contributing to the provision of our professional HR service within the People Experience and Culture (PEC) team, which focusses on engaging and enabling our workforce to succeed.

About the Role

We have a unique opportunity for a HR Advisor to join the University on a job share basis.

You will be responsible for providing first-line professional HR guidance and support to managers, as well as managing HR casework.

Working collaboratively with your job-share partner, you will work with the business to deliver efficient, proactive, innovative and pragmatic business-focused HR solutions and recommendations. You will also work proactively with the business to improve employee relations through coaching and building management capability to support effective people and performance management.

This role is part time, 16 hours per week. The working hours for this role are Wednesday 9:30-13:30 and Thursday & Friday 9:30-16:00, with the ability to work remotely on either Thursday or Friday.

Anticipated interview date - 20th November 2024

About You

You'll have current knowledge of employment legislation, its application and best practice, combined with HR generalist experience in a large and complex organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across various levels, meaning you have the ability to work closely with line managers using a coaching approach, to ensure a high-quality staff experience across the organisation.

You must be able to write concisely and effectively, providing both qualitative and quantitative information in correspondence and reports.
